The Butterfly Grubba Pro lived in the market for a while unlike other come and go blades. This blade was introduced as a successor to other Grubba blades which came as a result of the player Andrzej Grubba. He was a polish player and a crowd entertainer.

The Butterfly Grubba Pro is a little heavy blade of 90gm weight with semi-large heard. This blade is rated as ALL- with a lower speed rating. That is not good enough to rate the blade as slow. The lowest speed rating of Butterfly blades starts in 65. This speed is compared to XIOM or TSP speed rating, this rating can be considered as medium speed.

The Grubba Pro is a semi-wider blade. I have tried many long pips like TSP Curl P1R, Tibhar Grass DTech, XIOM Guillotine on this blade. After testing all these rubbers, I came to the conclusion that this blade is not suitable for a defensive player. However it’s semi-wide size helps all-round and offensive players who play defensive with block strokes.

The Grubba Pro can make very good curvy balls. This is not suitable for a far close to the table play. The blade has medium to high speed absorption but at the same time faster rebound.

I recommend Butterfly Grubba Pro to players who migrate from amateur game play to serious players. This blade helps to develop very good strokes.
