Question: I play defense with my backhand few feets away from the table. I sometimes defend a ball coming to my forehand with my backhand side of the blade. I occassionally loop with my forehand. I don’t like to use long pips on my backhand. What is the right equipment for me?

Answer: I would recommend XIOM Aigis defensive blade with XIOM Yanus DF rubber on the backhand and XIOM True Innovation Euro on the forehand. The XIOM Yanus DF is a defensive rubber - you would be able to cut or chop high top spin or loops from your opponent as well as you can occassionally hit. The XIOM True Innovation Euro is a good top spin loop rubber. The XIOM Aigis has low throw angle and this would help to keep the ball low.
