That’s great news for any of us that love the game. The more players, the more opportunities. I’m wondering how table tennis stacks up in growth for other countries also. My guess is that it’s also one of the fastest growing sports in may other countries being played on outdoor ping pong tables from around the globe.

Sadly table tennis has declined in U.K. over recent years. It is hoped that Olympic Games in London will help revive it. A major problem is lack of schools playing the game due to expense of tables and storage space required. It is much cheaper and easier to play football. Also lack of television coverage does not help.
